Tatum Ranch Golf Club announced this week that it has been converted to a private club. This much anticipated transition was implemented earlier than scheduled, with 300 members already on board. There are only 150 memberships remaining. Along with announcing its private club status, Tatum Ranch is near completion of its new $5.5 million, 30,000 square foot clubhouse offering amenities such as men's and women's locker rooms, junior Olympic size swimming pool, fitness center, child-care, dining facilities and a complete golf shop.
The new clubhouse compliments one of the Valley's most distinguished golf courses designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Cupp. Improvements to the golf course totaling $1.5 million were completed in 1999, included reshaping and enlarging the tee boxes, a new practice putting green, enlarging the hitting area of the driving range, installing a state-of-the-art irrigation system, renovating the sand bunkers and restoring the natural desert landscape.
