SunRidge Canyon

Nature played a profound role in the development of SunRidge Canyon Golf Club. Designed by Keith Foster, it is a 6,823-yard, par-71 layout with non-returning nines. Your golf adventure begins at the upper mouth of the canyon and descends switch-back style to the canyon floor. Along the way, the golf course follows the rugged natural terrain of stony ridges, rock outcroppings and secluded hollows. Because the fairways are not parallel, players enjoy a true sense of serenity and oneness with the golf course. Don’t let this tranquil desert setting fool you. This course’s rare beauty tests every aspect of your game. The beauty and challenge of this golf experience has made SunRidge Canyon one of the most highly rated clubs in Arizona. It was selected No. 42 on Golf Magazine's list of "The Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the United States," has been chosen by Arizona tournament players as the top-ranked daily-fee golf club, and was the host of the 1997 USGA State Team Championship.
Golf at SunRidge Canyon is the way the game was intended. Its natural, strategic desert design is tempting for players of every level. It is a true "adventure", where subtle changes in topography give the course a dramatic effect. Each shot demands careful consideration of both risk and reward, and your success depends entirely on how skillfully you make these decisions.
SunRidge Canyon has enhanced the overall golf experience at the course by adding a GPS system by ProLink. ProLink's full-color monitor is easy to use and features scoring, yardage to the pin, accurate club selection and playing tips. With ProLink, you can even communicate messages from cart to clubhouse and order your lunch from the fairway.
There's more to be discovered at SunRidge Canyon than adventurous golf. At SunRidge Canyon's clubhouse, you can shop for your favorite golf styles and equipment at one of "America's 100 Best Golf Shops" or enjoy great food in a beautiful setting any day of the week at The Ridge Room restaurant. Serving an eclectic menu with a unique Southwestern flair and breathtaking views of surrounding countryside, The Ridge Room is one of Fountain Hills' most popular dining spots for breakfast, lunch, and special-occasion dinners. You can also take advantage of this magical setting for everything from weddings and banquets to family gatherings and corporate events.
The authentic warmth and charm of the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club’s clubhouse make it the ideal place to begin and end your golf adventure. The captivating design of the 18,000-square-foot SunRidge Canyon Golf Club’s Clubhouse is true to its heritage. Built to resemble a large Spanish hacienda from Arizona’s territorial days, the clubhouse provides a full-service golf shop, men’s and women’s locker facilities and a conference room. The award-winning clubhouse is also home to The Ridge Room, where golfers, Fountain Hills residents and people from around the Valley of the Sun come to marvel at the views while enjoying inspired dishes, many of which showcase the zest and flavor of the Southwest.
Eagle Mountain

Opened in January 1996, this award-winning course beckons those who desire an outstanding golf experience. Nestled in the ravines of the pristine McDowell Mountains and colorized by dramatic sunrises and sunsets, Eagle Mountain offers some of the most outstanding views of the Valley of the Sun. On clear days you can see south to the San Tan Mountains and beyond, and always, the splendor of picturesque Red Mountain looms just to the east of the course.
The par–71, 6,755-yard course, designed by Scott Miller offers one of the fairest tests of golf in the Valley for all skill levels. The low and high handicapper alike can enjoy the generous contoured fairways, designed for forgiveness, which traditional desert-style courses typically lack. Throughout the course you’ll see how Miller designed it with nature and preservation of the natural desert surroundings in mind as it winds through natural box canyons, rolling hills and lush desert terrain. A spectacular representation of man’s creation in harmony with nature, special attention should be made of the various feature gardens found on the course including one devoted to the variety of native cactus, one for attracting hummingbirds, one to attract butterflies and a garden devoted just to the Desert Agave plant. Eagle Mountain extends a warm welcome to all who visit. From the moment guests arrive, a staff of friendly and attentive professionals greets them. The full-service clubhouse, undergoing a remodel and renovation throughout the summer of 2001, provides an award winning, traditional golf shop, day lockers, a halfway house, an outdoor event pavilion, and a new expanded restaurant and bar with views, views and more views!
The practice facility at Eagle Mountain supports game enhancement with a dramatic grass tee driving range, chipping and short game areas and two perfectly manicured putting greens. A knowledgeable starter, who is available to answer all questions and provide a thorough explanation of just what lays ahead, escorts golfers to the first tee. In front of you, on the first tee named Taking Flight, is a warm-up of sorts, a gentle par five, boasting a huge landing area and generally little trouble as you begin your descent toward the distant valley. The euphoria may last only a short time, as the next two holes can provide an awakening jolt. A tight, uphill, par four, No Way Out, which requires two well executed shots, followed by a mid to long iron par three called Solitude, set opposite Red Mountain, quickly focuses you to the task at hand. Miller’s Moguls, the fourth hole, a downhill par five boasts yet another magnificent view, this one of Camelback Mountain and downtown Phoenix. The seventh hole, a long par four requires a solid drive and an accurate approach to a bunker guarded green. The front nine closes with a challenging par four known as On the Rocks, where your approach to a two tiered green will vary greatly, depending on the position of your drive.
We-Ko-Pa

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is a spectacular 7,225-yard 18-hole golf course nestled within a dramatic, natural desert setting. The course is located within the boundaries of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, just 15 minutes east of Scottsdale, AZ. Open since December 14, 2001, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation’s stunning new golf course. Featuring an authentic tribute to the local Yavapai tribe, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club pays homage to the original dwellers of the land.
Located in Fountain Hills, on the east edge of Scottsdale, WE-Ko-Pa (the Yavapai pronunciation for “Four Peaks Mountain”) presents a unique alternative to the already upscale Scottsdale golf market. Designed by noted golf course architect Scott Miller, the golf course was created to play a challenging 7,225 yards from the back tees, but with multiple tee boxes that are well-spaced to cater to players of all calibers. In addition, there are no - nor will there ever be – residences on the golf course, yielding some of the most dramatic and “natural” views of the surrounding mountain ranges including the Four Peaks, McDowell Mountains, Red Mountains and the Superstitions.
Another distinguishing factor of the golf course is the ample amount of natural mesquite, palo verde, saguaros, shrubbery and desert vegetation that sprawl through the arroyos and canyons of We-Ko-Pa, creating a lush desert feel.
Desert Canyon

Desert Canyon Golf Club's eighteen hole championship course is one of Arizona's top golfing facilities. It features elevated tees coupled with a variety of elevation changes. Fairways, though open, play tight and prove challenging with strategically placed doglegs. Each hole of the par 71 course plays to a backdrop of pristine skys and views of some of Arizona's most beautiful mountains. Desert Canyon Golf Club provides a full service practice facility that includes a driving range, and two chipping and putting greens along with a practice bunker.
The first thing a visitor to the FireRock Country Club golf course will notice is its stunning panoramic city and mountain views. In addition to the tremendous amount of native vegetation, including vast amounts of ironwood and mesquite trees, there are stately saguaro cacti and numerous natural rock outcroppings. "The course has what I call great balance," Ron Macari said. "By that, I mean that the holes play in a variety of directions and invite players to use a number of clubs for various distances and shot options. The greens will have subtle movement that will both challenge the golfer and be fair at the same time. Guest play is limited on this par 72, 6,339 yard course and subject to availability.
